VSX Systemwide requires Full Disk Access for Mac OS users, in order to function correctly. This is not a setting within VSX but a 'Security & Privacy' setting within Mac "System Settings" (System Preferences if on Mac OS 12 or earlier). If Full Disk Access is not granted , VSX Systemwide Systemwide will not have permissions to write any presets to the users drive. In which case, ECCO and Fav 5 settings wont save from Systemwide.
If installing VSX Systemwide for the first time on a machine, users should get a prompt automatically during install to add VSX Systemwide for Full Disk Access. In which case, follow those instructions.
If however, dragging the icon doesn't work or you don't get that prompt during install (and VSX Systemwide doesn't show as enabled in Full Disk Access), then you will need to add this permission manually.
How to Manually Add Full Disk Access for VSX Systemwide
If users are unable to add Full Disk Access for the VSX Systemwide app from the Slate Audio Center during install, then they will need to set this up manually.
1. Open your Mac System Settings app (called "System Preferences for Mac OS 12 and below). Then go to Security & Privacy → Full Disk Access. Now, click the "+" sign in the lower area.
2. In the pop-up menu that comes up, go to your "Applications" folder. Then locate and select the "VSX Systemwide" app, and hit "Open".
3. You should now see VSX Systemwide in your list of "Full Disc Access" apps. Make sure the button to the right of VSX Systemwide is turned on (blue on color).
