Why is the Mike Dean Room Expansion Locked?

The current “VSX Platinum Bundle Headphone” for $499 can only be purchased directly through Steven Slate Audio Website or through some dealers who will send the Essentials VSX Headphones and separate "Platinum Bundle" passcode to register the full platinum bundle expansions $200.

This is a different software bundle than “Steven Slate Modeling Headphones / Founder Edition” $479 purchased from Dealers prior to December 2022, before we introduced the "Platinum Bundle" and "Essentials Bundle" versions of VSX. Owner's of this previous version will not have access to the Mike Dean rooms unless they purchase this expansion separately.

All VSX owners who purchased the full version for $479 prior to the December 2022 update, received receive an additional iLok license called "Steven Slate VSX Platinum". This is because the license called  "Steven Slate VSX" was converted into the license for just the base VSX software, and the rooms that come with VSX Essentials. The “VSX Platinum Bundle Headphone” is not the same as the Steven Slate VSX Platinum iLok license, in that this license will cover all rooms EXCEPT for the Mike Dean rooms. In order to access the Mike Dean Rooms, users will need the license called "Steven Slate VSX Mike Dean".
