Users who would like to pay for the VSX with monthly payments can use Split-It to break up purchase price. To use Splitit with you purchase, checkout regularly, and select the Splitit option from the payment methods in the checkout window.
What Is Splitit?
Splitit lets you buy VSX today and pay it down over 12 months without any credit check, interest, late fees, or application. While you’ll have 12 months to pay the total balance, you can always pay more than the monthly minimum if you’d like to pay off the installments earlier. When you purchase VSX, you will only be charged for the first month’s payment. The remaining balance will be held on your credit card until the final payment is made. After each monthly payment, the amount held from the available balance will be reduced to the new remaining balance.
Note that the held amount might show as ‘pending transaction’ on your credit card statement. When using a debit card, the entire amount will be held on the card as a temporary hold and released within 5 business days. You can use your Visa or Mastercard with Splitit.
When you a purchase VSX using Splitit, you will be asked to provide your email address. Splitit will then email you credentials so you can log in to the Splitit shopper portal to check your installment status and view other information regarding your purchase. You can login by clicking ‘Login’ at the top right of the Splitit website here: https://consumer.splitit.com/login
How Payments Work
Each month, your credit card statement will display the installment charge amount for that month. You will also see the authorization/hold for the outstanding amount dropping by one installment after each month. In addition, Splitit will email you after each successful installment charge.
Note that the held amount will show as ‘pending transaction’ on your credit card statement.
When you use Splitit to purchase VSX, you’ll still enjoy the points and rewards offered by your credit card. There is no impact on your credit score, even if one of your payment authorizations are declined.
